Just more ridiculous crap. We have here a $130 million team of AAA-ers who simply cannot compete with any team that happens to be over .500. It's a remarkable achievement of assembling so-so players, paying players millions not to play and adding actual AAA-ers to cover a rash of injuries and stupidity. Latest idiocy is Guerillmo Mota now suspended 100 games for PEDs. Great job, Moron. Mota's agent says he took children's cough medicine. Oh, and also injected massive gallons of steroids.

Only roster move (how ... WONDERFUL!) was activating Aubrey Huff in place of Mota. Huff finally got his first AB in the past two weeks-plus and hit a horrifically weak popup kinda to center. Giants have committed 33 errors in 29 games; I think grand total in 2010 was 73. This is simply a piss-poor team and if you have any expectations, jettison them. Can't even field a bunt, damn it. Even Buster Posey, who usually looks like a baseball player no matter what he does, look totally clueless and flustered at 1B tonight.

Zito was OK, I guess, by his standards, followed by AAA-ers Edlefson and Blackley who were beyond awful. Defense? Hideous. Only decent point, not worth mentioning, was that Joaquin Arias had a nice night on defense and three hits, give him a set of steak knives, big deal. Tomorrow? Find a rerun of "The Voice" or a nice Turtleman rerun, because against Clayton Kershaw it will be an absolute bloodletting.

I guess only upside is that after this season perhaps the Giants will finally put a gun to Bochy's head and the rest of the coaching staff, stop paying guys $20 million to play once every five days and add some position players who can actually play. Although that would require Giants fans to screw their heads on and stop showing up. If the place is sold out every day to watch this kind of debacle, ownership will never do anything.

Oh, Angel Pagan went 0-for-5 and his 20-game hitting streak is over, good, one less dumb distraction from the debacle.

In division, Giants now 5 behind, 6 tomorrow and without a miracle on Wednesday it goes to 7. Dodgers at pretty much every position are simply better.

Next game: Tuesday, May 8, 7 p.m. vs. Dodgers at the Cholo Grounds. Vogelsong (0-2, 3.42) vs. Kershaw (2-0), 2.63). TV: CSN-BA.
